Twelfth Night/Epiphany Celebration
January 7, 2024 11:45 am | Fellowship Hall
Christmas isn’t over on December 25! Please join us after church on January 9th to celebrate Twelfth Night and Epiphany. * Epiphany celebrates the coming of the Magi (kings or wisemen) to the Christ child. They brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to celebrate his birth. In Epiphany celebrations across the world today, people make kings’ cakes, ride camels, or give gifts as the Magi did.
We will bring gifts for the church (paper towels, hand soap, etc.), play board and card games and eat pizza. (Sorry, no camels.)
We will meet in the fellowship hall after church and ask for pizza preferences before ordering. Please celebrate with us and bring:
- A gift for the church.
- A game to share — maybe a new one you received for Christmas.
- $5 for pizza — any extra funds will go toward supplies for the church.
- Friends and relatives who would enjoy the games, food, and fellowship.
Dessert and drinks will be provided. Questions? Contact Margaret Miller margaretmiller1@mac.com
*Twelfth Night is the night before epiphany. Epiphany/Three Kings Day is the next day (January 6). We are celebrating on the closest Sunday, January 7.
