Earth Care Recycling

We will start recycling plastic film, crunchy bags and batteries on Feb 4th. Bins are in the gathering room! There will be a table in the Gathering Room on January 28th displaying the appropriate way to prepare the film and bags for collection.

Only specific items will be accepted:

Store Drop Off list (these are thinner plastic film items)

• Ziploc storage bags
• Produce bags, including potato bags
• Product overwrap on things like paper towels
• Plastic mailers (such as Amazon packaging
• Clean garbage bags
• Cereal liner bags
• Grocery bags

Flexible film list (“Crunchy bags”)

• Potato chip bags and candy wrappers
• Apple, grape, and other fruit sacks
• Pet food bags
• Plastic pouches

Every food item MUST BE RINSED OUT AND DRY since any food residue can contaminate the entire collection! Bins will be in the Gathering Room. Any questions? See any member of your Earth Care team.We’ll be collecting additional items in March.
