The Evergreen Book Club will be reading The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson. Seen through the lives of three historical people, this book presents a dramatic account of one of the great untold stories of American history: the Great Migration of six million Black citizens who fled the South for the North and West in search of a better life, from World War I to 1970. We will be discussing this book at the home of Susie Lewis. We will have light snacks and a social time from 6:30 to 7:00 and begin the book discussion at 7.
